Infertility...

I can't remember what I've posted about this topic so I'm going to give updates...
I went off BCP in July 2006 we start trying Sept. 2006- yes that's 2 years of trying. After one year I went to my OB/GYN who didn't really want to test me but I pushed the issue. I done all of the testing HSG, bloodwork, yada yada. I was told I was normal. Ian took his test, first one was abnormal. Second was was normal. Went back to the doctor, had a pat on the arm and was told "you're young, lose weight, and keep on trying!"
After another year of no positive tests the more I got mad at my doctor and what he said. I was told by several people to find a different doctor so I made an appointment with a new OB/GYN. I went to get my medical history from the old doctor and read where Ian's morphology tests both said "poor prognosis" My test results said "cysts on ovaries looks to be polycystic ovaries" or something like that. I was LIVID! Why did he say I was normal? We have been trying for 2 years, apparently not everything is normal.
So the more I thought about it the more I thought I need to make an appointment with a fertility specialist. I go on October 21. Many prayers that we can find something wrong and begin working on it. I don't have a clue where we will go from here. I don't think I have PCOS but apparently something is wrong. I am just so mad that I wasted a year listening to someone say "your young, lose weight, and keep on trying" I need someone who is proactive in my desire to become a mother.

You definitely did the right thing by changing doctors. Some are just more aggressive than others when it comes to infertility issues.I've heard female docs are usually the best when it comes to this.

The photography classes are going great! I finish basic next Monday and then go into Advanced the following Monday. Hope you get somewhere with your new dr. Don't know where you are going but my Dr in New Albany specializes in infertility also, and prob cheaper than a sure enough specialist. Just thought I would share. Good luck.

Crystal it's something like Fertility Specialist of Memphis or something like that. My insurance covers until we get a diagnosis of infertility and once that is acheived then they cover nothing for treatment. I'm excited to go though!
