Now for the meeting...
We drove down the night before as our meeting was at 8am the next morning. We first met to discuss our church situation and our involvement in church. Then we moved onto the individual interviews, I went first. My interview took about 2 hours then we broke for lunch. DH's interview took around 1.5 hours. We just discussed our self-studies and any questions they needed answered. After DH’s interview, we had a joint interview. During this time they discussed our next steps and what we needed to work on. Our first step is for the agency to receive all of our reference letters back. After they receive those then we begin working on our profile book that potential birthmothers will look at. We will have a month to create our book. Then after we have our book created then our social worker L will visit our home for our 3rd and final interview. After that visit, L has one month to write up our study for approval. After we are approved, then we will begin to wait for our precious child! We hope to have our home study completed and be on the books by the end of June/beginning of July!

Sounds like your meeting went fantastic!! We started the process in November and we won't be in the match book til May...sounds like you have a great agency!!

if all goes according to plan we will be in the match book 14 months after starting the process.

I'm glad your meeting went well! We are supposed to hear from our SW this week to schedule our first interview. Hope the last couple months of the process go smoothly and you are matched shortly there after!
